Zion

We entered zion from the east entrance.  During the summer, you have to park at the visitor center and take the park shuttle.

 – we were not prepared for this, but decided to take the plunge – heading into to the narrows

after lunch at the zion lodge, we decided to do one more hike – to the emerald pools.

 – there are lower, middle and upper pools.  last quarter mile was really strenoios but a nice pool was waiting for us at the top

 – it was very quiet and you can hear the water seeping  through the towering rocks

 – amazing view on our way out

 – photos can not capture the sense of scale here.  just have to carve it in our minds.

 – on route 9, there is a buffalo preserve where we hung out with them for a while.
