The landing was diverted to Edwards Air Force Base due to marginal weather at the Kennedy Space Center. We felt the sonic boom as it entered the atmosphere and our 2 cats both perked up with ears pointed back.

reminds me of my long lost dream of becoming an astronaut..

My sister had a second baby boy recently.  I have only met him via Skype.  here is a ‘welcom to the world” card I painted for him

This event spans Highland park, Eagle rock and we had to just choose 1 or 2 sections.  the artists were all inspiring, and I personally enjoyed discovering the neighborhoods that you wouldn’t know exsisted.

Once again, So Cal is on fire.  The smoke in the air created some very surreal scenes.

Wrap parties for big productions like Transformers 2 is always fun. It’s also one of the few times we actually go on a night out in Hollywood.

the “Orphanage” and “let the right one in”

Desperately seeking some fall colors, we drove out to Silvewood Lake.  We didn’t see as much as we expected, but there were some.  and we had some nice crisp fresh air.

despite the news that the polling locations will be jam packed, our location at the red cross buildig had no lines at all.

went to a Gris Grimly event that was held at the Magic Castle.  It was a really cool night with original art exhibit, magic shows and close up parlor.  I liked the castle itself and the interiors too.  No cameras unfortunately.  Some sketches from the night -
