This morning, the room turned pink. It was so weird. The photo doesn’t do justice to what I saw – the morning sky looked like a bloody sunset

Bach festival at First Congregational Church of  Los Angeles.  A little glimpse back to my former life..

I really needed to get out of town. Not too far is Riley’s Farm. Here we enjoyed the fall air, apples and pumpkins, farm animals, and the colonial way of life. It was an overcast day with a little drizzle later in the day.

Went to see a marionette play at UCLA.  The Fortune Teller created by Erik Sanko and music by Danny Elfman.  This was so refreshing to my eye that’s been so weary of special effects.  Hand made puppets and sets, great voice for narration, and off course cool story.

at the zoo parking lot – it was a nice over cast day.

these didn’t come out all that great, but posting it as a record of my attempt.

I tried this twice and still doesn’t look right…

ugh…

 last class at the zoo.  It was a nice overcast day.  The donkey was out on a stroll and the lioness was very excited at the sight.

I am doing studies of big cats because I don’t like the way my drawings look.

since we don’t get fall out here, I am recalling a fall scene from childhood in Eastchester NY. We actually raked the leaves on the yard (not with those obnoxious blowers) and we each made rooms in our own pile.

 I didn’t know that part of the hotel was turned into a condo.  But this beloved landmark still stands.
