Duncan and I have been submitting artwork for the SD comic con souvenir book for the past several years. Always last minute.. but got it post marked on the deadline, so I hope it gets printed in the book. In case it doesn’t, here is what I submitted for the 25th Anniversary of “The Rocketeer”

Lets see… I first did some research, then I did a bunch of thumbnails to figure out composition and pose. Then I did 8.5 x 11 pencil sketch lay-in and worked out all the details. Used the lightbox for the final and inked it. I scanned and used photoshop to fix my ink screw ups and add the fonts. So all together I think it took me like 6 - 7 hours.
